    Good night TomWalton !

Reboot your doubt and report correctly.
    Which monitor model?
What error (since the image represents nothing)?
Connected to a laptop or desktop?
    ???

    Hello,

I was just wondering about the backbleed on this monitor.

The model is Acer Nitro VG270UP 27" WQHD 144Hz 1ms Gaming Monitor

    Have I tried other devices?
    Have you tried another cable?
Have you tried the other connections?
    Did you update the drivers?

None  of those questions are relevant.

Backlight bleed varies panel to panel, it can also change over time depending on how the screen was attached during the manufacturing process.  If it’s too much backlight bleed , you are best off exchanging the monitor if it’s still an option.

The back bleed I see in the image looks pretty normal to me. When a picture or your desktop is displayed the image overrides the back light enough that it won't really be noticeable. It's only when shown without an actual image that you see the full effect.
