Windows 10 and terrible track pad

My Acer Aspire came supplied with Windows 10. Using it is tortuous as the track pad is wildly unresponsive/slow/jumpy and out of balance. I have tried adjusting the track pad but it's still the same. Is the problem with the Acer or Windows 10?

Open Device Manager. Uninstall the trackpad driver from the HID devices folder. Exit Device Manager and reboot Windows. Jack E/NJ
