So I have two laptops roughly the same age. One of them has a dead hard drive, but the processor is better than the one I'm using. I'm currently using an Acer Aspire ES 15. I want to find out what motherboard my functioning Acer has, to see if its compatible with the processor on my dead laptop. Then I can switch processors. How do I do that?

    Good night kirayoshikage !

First, what EXACT models of lapops?
Most models are not possible processor atroca by being integrated into the motherboard.
In this case it is not a matter of the board itself but also of the processor and chipset.

The one I'm currently using is an Acer Aspire ES 15 ES1-521-46BE. Normally just use it for basic work related tasks, it has an AMD A4-6210. The one with the dead hard drive is a Dell Latitude E6420 which I formerly used for light gaming. It however has an Intel Core i5 that I would like to switch if possible. It seems I have to find out which motherboard the Acer has first to see if its compatible though.
