Hello,
I have Aspire VN7-591G which came with a prebuilt dolby drivers in windows. I had to shift to ubuntu and I lost my dolby drivers. Anyone recommend me how to get them back.It appears dolby doesnt have a drivers pack for linux or did i miss some where.

Thanks,
Jay

No ACER-flavored Linux drivers for the ALC283-CG dolby codec that I'm aware of. Depending on the distro, you might find a decent users forum like Mint that seem more helpful than most on refinements that go beyond basic audio function like this. Jack E/nJ

You will find them under the Driver package you download from Acer.
For example, for me they go under these folders:
    DAX2
    DAX3
    DS1

you need to install all three files to get your Dolby surround sound back

Thanks. I think abandonedarch  was looking for a Linux dolby driver installation pack. Jack E/NJ
