Slow start up of Helios 500, even slower on restart

Hello,

I am having a noticeable performance issue with my helios 500. I bought it recently in February. It is working normally except when it turns on it takes around 12 seconds which is a lot as I am also using the SSD, the newer type. When i restart it takes around 1 minute. I tried numerous things and asked friends that know more about computing then me and they did not know how to help me. I also switched off the sound effects on the predator logo on the bios, I searched google with beneficial tips, tried them all and nothing worked. I also have a problem when I restart the pc it is slower for about 2-3 minutes and I noticed that the disc usage goes to 100% during this time- might be related.
Another thing that happened is that I tried to install HDD manually as this version came without one and the HDD was not recognised even though it was showing on the intel storage program as running. I have no idea if this is related and even less idea how to fix the whole problem. However, if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

None of the problems above have any effects on gaming. I am getting regular 130-140fps on high or max settings and playing games with no issues.

    Hi @Avjeckin33,

As a work around, I recommend you to try manually increasing Virtual Memory of your computer. Please click here for instructions about increasing Virtual Memory. Hope this helps you :)

I have tried this but it did not work. There is still approx 45 seconds restart time.

    Hi,

I have experienced some slow shutdowns/boots myself on the default Windows 10 install, something that has never been the case on Linux.
I suggest you try the following:

    - Debloat Windows 10 via the script linked in this article (https://www.christitus.com/2018/09/09/debloat-windows-10/)
    - Use O&O Shutup to disable telemetry (https://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10)
    - Bleachbit instead of CCleaner for removing ***** left on the system (https://www.bleachbit.org/)
    - Check your startup list, it probably has items running at boot you don't need to have running all the time...

Should help at least a bit ;)
