I have a problem with the laptop battery The Acer Aspire ES1-732-P3TD - when the laptop on the charger - the battery indicator light goes off and goes on - the battery shown in Windows - says the charger is plugged in - but that the battery does not charge.

The battery was normally charged before and it was possible to work with it. The laptop is six months old.

I've tried options - turning off the battery and re-plugging the battery; holding the POWER button without the battery and selecting the recommended setting within the BIOS - unfortunately none of this helps.

The only thing left to me is the BIOS upgrade - I download the latest version 1.19 - and I start it, but it just unpacks and nothing goes on?

The computer is running Windows 10 PRO 64-bit and the BIOS version is 1.18

Will the laptop still turn on without the charger plugged in? Jack E/NJ

OK. Sounds like the battery or its internal regulator. Since the laptop is still under warranty, go to this link and arrange for a repair https://www.acer.com/ac/hr/HR/content/support    Simply state "Laptop does not  turn on without the charger plugged in." Nothing more. Jack E/NJ
