After going to sleep, will wake up ok but goes back to sleep quickly
A515-51G-50LA - is this an E or F series - thinking it's a G with the code on the left
Still standard out of the box- windows 10 etc
The ACER will work without issues until I let it go to sleep
- not sure what the trigger is, maybe for a long sleep overnight??- but it will take extra effort to wake it up and the 'bling' sound out of the speaker is distorted like the volume is overpowered. It will then continue to go to sleep (if not touching it) after only a short time (regardless of settings).
If I don't keep it awake by touching it, the screen will go blank and even if I click mouse or buttons it continues to go to sleep.
Once 'fully' asleep, I can then wake it up with the 'bling' sound distorted as mentioned above.
I use a plug in mouse and sometimes this will not be recognised again without unplugging and reconnecting.
I have reported this to ACER b4 and they helped me to fix- but it only lasted a short time and has come back.
One of the things they got me to do was push a sharp object into a hole on the base of the main body.
Something they told me was 'that it may be due to a build up of static over time'
I have forgotten what the process was, and thought this might help other people in future if it was worked out here.
I know that I have not changed the menu settings that they got me to change last time, so maybe I should just try pushing a pin in the hole again??
