Hello everyone I'm a first-time Acer nitro owner and I have a disturbing announcement about it. I was looking at the performance monitor on the laptop and I was running a game called house party which is pretty graphic-intensive. It was only using the Vega 8 chip and not the radon 560x chip. so I'm curious as to why it's not utilizing the full potential of the graphics card.

Nothing disturbing you haven't selected the RX560x to play your game. You need to launch your AMD Control Center click SYSTEM/SWITCHABLE GRAPHICS/RUNNING APPLICATIOS/INSTALLED PROFILED APPLICATIONS/BROWSE, then navigate to your games .exe in PROGRAMS, select it and and it will be added to the profile list then click it and select HIGH PERFORMANCE and your game will now run on the RX560x

Thank you and have a blessed day  B)

Also before you do the above check that your AMD Control Center and Drivers are updated, go here

How do I make it only use the higher preformance graphics card all the time?

You don't need to. Only Games and high end graphic programs require the RX560x so repeat the above for all of your demanding programs, games and Photoshop etc. The other Graphic card is more than adequate to run your regular programs and system processes
