Any difference between Acer Predator 17 G5-793 vs. G9-793 shell parts - Acer Predator 17 G5-793-79SG

I have an Acer Predator 17 G5-793-79SG. A few months ago I accidentally got the corner of my hinge cover caught on a door as I was walking through with it in my bag, but the bag is not big enough to hold the laptop completely, so the corner sticks out. It bent and broke part of the plastic of the hinge cover. I have seen replacement parts for a hinge cover, but it says it is compatible with the G9-793 model. I cannot seem to find where to get a replacement for the hinge cover for my G5-793.
The damage on the cover does not affect the laptop in any way as for performance.
Anyone know if the G9-793 hinge cover will work on a G5-793?

I'll have to get a photo later, but the hinge cover is on the top. It's not the lid, but the back part that has the Acer logo on it. That whole piece can come off. What happened was when I was walking through a glass door, the corner rub against the side of the other door and it got caught and bent. It does not affect the laptop itself, I just want to make it look good again.

They are 99% the same.
Only difference I can think about is the ODD bay part. G5 has a metal place holder at the odd part .
Not counting this they are the same. For example the G5 alsó also have the empty space for the g9's subwoofer.
The upper part is 100% the same.

G5 and G9 are technically the same laptop with the g9's having some extra features like odd (fan) and subwoofer. However some features can be added to the G5 too, like the subwoofer.

Some parts are even compatible with the GX Predator 17x laptops.

Tl;dr: yes, you can buy that g9 hinge cover, it will be fine for the G5 too.
