Hi all,
I bought my helios 300 2 weeks ago and started testing it by playing games (Dota 2, Dying Light Enhanced Edition) then temps would occasionally reach 85-92 degrees. When I checked on HWMonitor, when plugged in, my processor is always at 3.8ghz-4.0ghz with minimal cpu load (already set the power plan to balanced) with charger plugged in. On battery, there seems to be no problem. I tried changing the max processor state to 99% which then sends the temps down to 60-70 degrees. However when playing on long periods (30mins to 1hr), I occasionally get frame drops, but the max temps are still around 70.
I would like to know an optimal setup for undervolting my laptop since most of the guides I found are for i7-7700 or i5-8300 with 1060gb. This is my first gaming laptop and I wouldn't want to mess things up. Essentially, I would like to reduce heat/temps as much as possible to lengthen its life and at the same time still getting a decent performance overall.
If there are any more info that I should add, or any clarifications, please do tell me.
Good day all!

@HughMonggos how come you have 12gb ram ? you arent working on dual channel and that could be an issue probably one of the reasons for fps drops never mix sodims from different sizes/clock/cl because it will always with the lowest clock of them all work  the ram will always have to match each other for dual channel and you have TS confs for your cpu in the Predator fb group check my signature links

My laptop comes with a free 4gb ram so i just used it, im not really knowledgeable in this stuff so i just went with it. Should I remove the 4gb free ram and replace it with another one? Also, where can i find the complete details about my RAMs so I can buy a new one with the same specs?

I already joined the group and I'll just use the folder that Opoka used for i7-8750h, while also tweaking the EPP for windows.

    Update:
I joined the Acer Predator FB group and downloaded Opoka's TS folder for i7-8750h. I also tweaked my EPP settings via registry as Opoka also suggested (changed plugged in to 50%, and change Speedshift epp to 127). Tried playing Dota 2 (around 30mins-45mins) then my highest temps are 83(Predator sense), 91(HWMonitor), 89 (TS).
Which temps are legit? or should I just take the highest to be safe? also, are these temps good after using Opoka's TS settings?

HW monitor are more accurate but you can also try msi AB to compare with HWM

Regarding your ram yes you should get another 8gb with the same clocl/cl as the one you have check on cpuz to see what u have

@HughMonggos  yes they are but as i said dual channel only works in pairs (8gb 2 x 4, 16gb 2 x 8, 32gb 2 x 16 64gb /16 x 4 / 2 x 32 etc...) so 12gb as you have its not dual channel cpuz sais its dual because its using both slots but in reality its not working in dual channel the ram works similar as raid0 in drives it had to be a drive the same size and preferably same model so your best option its to buy another 8gb to match the one you have and bin/sell the 4gb

Do you know know or how can i know the default speed of my RAM (8gb) when I bought it? So when I will buy a new one, It will be of the same speed. Or can you recommend any cheap 8gb ram with the same speed (and with the brand if possible).
    Thanks!

    8gb DDR4 SODIMM 2666mhz?
