my laptop wont pick up my headset mic (Nitro AN515-51)

i have some cheap hunterspider headset but it works on everything else, xbox controller, nintendo switch, but on my laptop when i plug it in, i can hear out of the ears, but my laptop wont even detect the mic is there. it doesnt show up in recording devices, ive done literally everything i can think of and everything the internet tells me to. i tried using my brothers headset, it didnt work either

On devices that have only one connection that splits handset and microphone, the connector pin must be the exact model.
In this case it would be the 4-way.




Check the sound settings on the recording tab on hidden devices if the microphone is recognized.

I checked there, both show hidden devices boxes are checked. My headset has a split USB/3.5MM plug and both are plugged in. When the 3.5mm isn't plugged in, I can't hear out of the ears

Did you check if this phone requires a driver on the manufacturer's website?

There are no drivers for these headphones
