Fan speed and thresholds: Acer Aspire E5-576G

Hi all,

I am new here and I was hoping someone could answer my question regarding the speed my fans are working at.

First, let me tell you that I decided to buy a new laptop as my previous one (Acer Aspire V3-551) run its fans at full speed from time to time. Due to this, I bought the Acer Aspire E5-576G with great specifications but I am experiencing the fan issue again.

After reading several posts and downloading software to check my laptop temperatures, I noted that the fan starts operating as soon as the CPU reaches 40ºC. Despite the fan only operates higher (extremely higher) when I push the laptop to the limit (i.e.: playing Fortnite) and reaches temperatures over 70ºC, it is constantly working and that is kind of annoying.

Could anyone tell me if the fan is working correctly at those temperatures and the speed is in the normal frame?

Hello! The speed of the fans, vary according to the temperature! If the temperature is lower, fan speed will decrease, if the temperature is higher, fan speed will increase! This is absolutely normal, especially when you are using the notebook in games! According to the service guide, the temperature is within normal range, see:
