Hello,
as I wrote in the topic name.
I want to upgrade the RAM of my Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-51) from 8 GB to 16 GB.
What I know is that, it supports up to 32 GB of RAM. (2133/2400 MHz) (Two Sticks)
But what I actually wants is to have the best performance.
So, I searched around and I found that.
RAM is depending on CL (Clock Latency), clock cycle time (depending on module speed in MT/s) and also the rank.
An article I found in official Curcial website came up with an equation to calculate the true latency of the RAM which is as following:
true latency (ns) = clock cycle time (ns) x number of clock cycles (CL)
So, I had a deep search and I came up with these three models:
1- Ballistix Sport LT 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR4 2400 MT/s (PC4-19200): CL16 - Dual-Rank
price: $139.00
Model Number - AN515-51
CPU - Intel i5-7300HQ (Up to 3.5GHz)
GPU - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Current RAM - 8 GB - 2133 MT/s - CL15 - Single Rank (True Latency: 0.94 ns x 15 clock cycles = 14.10 ns)
