My Old Aspire One ZG5 is connecting to my  Android Note 8 hotspot, however do not open any page on Internet. I already tried uninstalling and re-installing the drive but does not works.

There's nothing wrong with the netbook if it connects to the phone. Try to follow the directions on this link to properly configure the phone to work with your netbook. https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-214219/  Jack E/NJ

In fact, it is connecting to my wireless home internet as well as my phone and any internet source. The problem is that it does not browse, in other words, when I try to open a website, it shows "not internet" but the wireless icon shows it is "connected".
    I would appreciate suggestions.
    Thank you

Finally I found the solution: The problem was the wireless original driver (version 7.6.0.224) was too old. I found the version 7.7.0.456, installed it and Internet is back. Just in case the steps:

    1. Go to https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

    2. Choose Netbook> Select your product> Netbook/Chromebook> AspireOne > AOD255 (yes, choose the wrong model) > Confirm.

    3. Scroll down to bottom of page to Wireless LAN section and download: Wireless LAN Driver Atheros 7.7.0.456

    4. Save As.. to your directory of choice: 7.7.0.456_XPx86_A.zip

    5. After downloading close all programs, right-click and extract to default directory. Make note of where it is.

    6. Shut off wireless. Click on Setup icon in the directory.

    7. Pop up will ask if you want to Update or Uninstall device. Uninstall the device and reboot.

    8. Windows may discover new hardware upon reboot. Cancel.

    9. Turn on wireless.

    10. Go back to directory and click on Setup icon in the directory again.

    11, Install the device.

    Wireless back and internet working!!!
