I have an Acer Aspire 315. It is a 2017 model, but it was purchased new last year. It continuously disconnects from the internet and asks for a pin number that is not accessible. I do not have the ability to let it "rest" or "reboot" for a day or two. It is off for most of the day. Please help asap. I need it to work online.

OK. Right click on the wifi icon in the tray. Click troubleshoot and follow instructions to find any software problems. If none are found then look on the bottom of the laptop for a small pinhole with a battery symbol. If it exists, shut the machine off and remove the charger. Then gently insert a paper clip into the pinhole for 10 seconds. Let the machine rest for 15 minutes. Then plug the charger back in and try it again. If still no joy, then to rule in or rule out a hardware problem, you should try to re-set the machine. Shut the machine completely off. Then turn it back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. A recovery screen should appear as in the video below. You can either try to re-set to a factory fresh state or refresh the system while saving your personal data. Jack E/NJ

Has it disconnected like this since you purchased it or did it just happen a few weeks ago? Jack E/NJ

This was disconnecting like this from day one. Even moving the device to another room does not work. Then a message comes on saying that I need a  pass key to get back on.  I do not even know what the pass key is, or where to find it

I will have to "save" this answer. Since this issue keeps happening, then I want it permanently fixed
     Thank you
