I installed Linux on my Aspire E5-771-P06X. Everything is fine, except for the Nvidia driver. In order to find the right driver, I need to know which Nvidia chip I should look for.
Do I really have to install Windows on the machine, to find out which chip I am having? Seems to me a bit overdone. Could somebody tell me which chip I am having?

You can look up your serial number on the Acer site and it should give you a full specification list of your model. There is a link in my signature.

Alternatively, I believe this link has the Windows drivers for your model. So, if your work backwards, you may be able to determine the hardware they are for - https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/5480?b=1

    Dear Tobimaru andvMartinJohn0001
Thank you so much for your contribution.

I found nearly all the sites you guys were mentioning, before I asked the question - I've been trying to find out so long time. Actually, one of the sites Tobimaru  is referring to comes, however merely hidden, with the potential answer, I just didn't see it before. Now I know at least which driver version I have to download: 353.24. So that might give me a clue which Linux driver I have to download.

Once again; thank you for your help. I will get back here if I need your expertise Again!
