Hello,

My E5-575-33BM laptop was constantly running at 100% hdd utilization no matter what I would do.  So I figured that the hard drive failed, I reset the computer to factory and then used the brief window of usability to create a USB recovery drive.  However, after installing the new hard drive and trying to boot from the flash drive, I do not have the option to reset the computer to factory.  Is there anything I can do?  I don't have any idea where the install media for windows 10 went so I don't have the serial number.

-Quick edit.  I can get the computer to boot into the recovery mode, but the only options that exist are to roll back or restore from image.  There isn't a reset the PC option.

    Good afternoon Beneub !

The Acer recovery partition is hidden in the HDD.
If for any reason you remove or it has been damaged it will no longer be possible to reinstall the OEM system, only by sending it to Acer for reinstallation.

To reinstall the OEM system you must press the ALT + F10 keys when powering on the device before the Acer logo is displayed.

Well that is unfortunate.  That means I'm left buying a new copy of windows.  Do you have any idea why my HDD utilization would be 100% no matter what I try to do?

The error of using 100% of HD is a problem that absolutely has nothing to do with Acer.
This is a Microsoft bug and occurs exclusively in versions 8, 8.1, and 10 of Windows.
There are several factors to occur as well as various forms of solution.
Watch the video below from a Microsoft experts.
It is in Portuguese, but just activate the subtitles.
It's not hard to keep up.
