I have a new router. I want to enter the new web key. My computer says the settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network. Now what ? I am not very techy.

Right click on the wifi icon in the bottom right tray. Click troubleshoot problems. Answer questions then follow on-screen instructions. Jack E/NJ

When I right click on it the Windows network diagnostics screen comes up and it says view your wireless security settings to verify that the correct security type is selected contact your hardware manufacturer for further assistance. Good grief

I think it is Windows 7 I use Firefox.
when it said to view your wireless security settings a box below said show me where I can do that task. I click on that box and a small window pops up with two headings Connection and Security. there are pull downs for security type and Encryption type and Choose a network authentication method type

OK. Did you get a setup guide with your new ZyXel router and use it's Web Configurator Wizard yet? Jack E/NJ

If you opened FireFox, the Zyxel Web Configurator might've opened automatically. That may be the box that popped up. Jack E/NJ

    In the browser, enter http://192.168.1.1
The zyxel administrator web configurator should pop up

On that little pop up I changed some of the pull downs and then it asked for the web key and I entered it and now I have 5 bars and Firefox works. Don't know why but it works.
Thank you for putting up with me.
