Keyboard Lag after Using it During Games

I have an issue with my Acer Predator Helios 300
The issue is lag after using the keyboard during gaming. the keystrokes take longer and longer before they are registered causing me to have to hold the power button down to force shut down because it would take upwards of 5-10 minutes before alt+f4 would register to close my game. this happens on most of my games on steam on first boot after install, but after that they usually work fine. Mirror's edge however continues to cause this issue, even after a re-install and verifying the files through steam.
I will update the keyboard drivers, but after that i'm out of ideas.
Any help would be appreciated
thanks

Check your temps it might have something to do with throttling when the system does that it might either shut down with bsod if it heats too much or slowing down lagging everything that is not the keyboard lagging has nothing to do with the hardware itself or drivers its the OS itself again as i said check and monitor your temps optimize windows/undervolt and in last resort if still needed repaste with a good premium thermal paste

unfortunately i have it kicking up to 95 degrees in titles such as Shadow of the tomb raider and quake champions, which is not ideal, however it 'only' gets up to about 80 on Mirrors edge which is the only repeatable place i can get the lag (i have to specify the framerate is fine and i get screen tearing). all is fine until the first keypress, no matter how long the game has run for. i may not have specified properly it is input lag between when the key is pressed until when an action in game is performed.
    thanks
