My Acer Aspire laptop completely lost all network connections (not even the wifi icon shows). My home has a strong network connection that works on all of our other devices so we know that isn't the problem. It's as if the Acer has a button to turn on/off wireless connection. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the wifi software and drivers, then restarted and no luck. Please help! Thanks.

    Good afternoon kmonckton !

Did you check if the wireless function key is on?
The Fn + F3 combination (key with wireless symbol)

Hi MaClane, I pressed Fn + F3 and the only thing that it turns on and off is Airplane Mode.

Does the F3 key on your keyboard have the wireless symbol?
Is Acer Quick Access installed and upgraded?
In the Device Manager is the wirelesse card normally recognized?

Yes, the F3 key has the wireless symbol. Acer Quick Access is installed and I can't update from this computer since there is no network connection. If you know the link I can download it from then I can save it on a flash card from my Mac. The Device Manager recognizes the wireless card (Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Wireless Network Adapter). This is the one I unistalled and reinstalled with the drivers.

I tried installing this version from the link you sent me and it says it's an older version than the one I have. This Acer was bought last August so it's fairly new.
