I have access to an industrial strength thermal paste at my work that promises a long life span, great thermal conductivity and no silicone. A co-worker says it works great on his pc but id like to get a second opinion before i start spreading a strange paste on my cpu/gpu.

    Good Morning Hazmat02 !

First check that your device is under warranty.
In almost all regions, disassembly for the installation of thermal grease invalidates the guarantee.

In addition, if your laptop has good thermal performance, there is no reason to perform this procedure.

Compare the thermal paste specs with Kryonaut specs if they are similar then you are good to go but as it was said check your warranty with your seller/shop or even acer support and if you dont have heating issues no need to repaste but its always the best solution after all repaste and uptimize/undervolt lowered my temps 25+

The thermal conductivity on this paste is quite bad, 0.92w/mK is nothing compared to the 12.5W/mK of the kryounaut. Of course there are other things that are important beside the thermal conductivity.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
