Acer Aspire R 15 acer smart stylus compatibility? spent all xmas money! how do i get it to work?

the whole reason i bought an all in one pc was to streamline the obnoxious amount of notes in college i was having to write down. i cant get the acer smart stylus to work (acer switch alpha 12 work computer came with acer smart stylus) . is there any way i can get updated software for the acer aspire r 15 that will allow for active stylus compatibility? spent close to 1k on this computer 11/3/16 and just dont want to have to buy a whole other computer.
