Should I install a 2.5 hard drive into the old computer?
Then move all the files to the 2.5 hard drive
Then install the 2.5 hard drive into the new TC-885?
If possible, any suggestions for which 2.5 HD to buy.
(for the TC-885, can't install a 3.5, has to be 2.5 ?)

Answer:
There are three SATA3 ports on the mainboard; 1 for the ODD, 1 for the 3.5” drive and 1 extra. You can mount a second 2.5" hard drive on the HDD metal bracket, below the 3.5” HDD on the case.

Looks like you have the drive figured out, the mounts for it are actually above where the HDD mounts, next to that slimline ODD. Here are specs for the memory:
    Memory
    • Supports DDR4 2666/2400MHz DDR4 SDRAM with Dual-channel architecture
    • Accommodates two un-buffered DIMMs
    • Up to 16GB per DIMM with maximum memorysize up to 32 GB
You will have to measure for a case fan, it looks like they gave holes for a couple of sizes.

If you get a SSD you do not need a mount, I just stick mine with tape or let it hang. SSD prices are coming down. If you can afford one $29 to $50 you
    won't be dlssappointed.
