why won't my keyboard lights stay on? No matter what i do with Fn and F9 they time out every time.

i don't understand. i've even looked in control panel for something to turn off

    They are on a timer to extend battery runtime. You might try to keep it plugged in and the control panel power plan set to high performance to keep them on.     go to the support page for your model, download and install the latest BIOS update. restart your laptop press f2 at the Acer logo, enter BIOS settings and under the General tab the keyboard on off is there

     there is an update for the timer. but windows defender refuses to let it install. bill gates and his BS

    i did that 20 times andylb and nothing, still won't let me. and F2, F3, F4, F12 don't go into bios on boot up

    PerryC766You must start tapping the F2 key immediately after turning the machine on. Don't wait for the ACER logo to appear as it will be too late.

    Any significant updates like firmware usually must be run in administrative mode. Accordingly, right click on the EXE file and click on the 'run as adminstrator.

    F2 key would not let me in, I know how to use the function keys lol. It did work however once i figured out how to get by defender and allow the update for the bios.
