This temperature seems normal plugged in under high gaming loads. The Nitro laptops are designed to operate this way. Jack E/NJ

Sure if other high load programs are running besides gaming while the laptop is being charged.  Anti-virus programs can cause increased temperatures. But 70-80*C is not very high for Nitros. These are very normal temperatures. Trying to make them go lower could cause undesireable side effects. Not recommended. Jack E/NJ

What is the ambient temperature where the laptop is running?

If you are seeing high load or high utilization even at idle, you have background processes running that are using the CPU power. Open the Windows Task Manager and see which processes are using the most CPU.

So did you find out which process/processes were using up the cpu ? Just curious.
