Still Can't Update My Acer B3-A30 Tablet (after 2 years of trying)

Hello all,

I have searched and tried the two suggestions and neither worked:
1. Force stop and restart
2. Activate storage permissions
The error message is: Failed to update due to a network or server problem. Please try again later. 0006:BE2B8094

My tablet information:
Model B3-A30
Android Version 6.0
Android Security Patch Level: November 5, 2017
Kernel Version: 3.18.22
Image Version: Acer_AV0M0-B3-A30_RV07RC02_WW_Gen1
Build Number: Acer_AV0M0_B3-A30_7.002.00_WW_GEN1
Image P/N: FM.NU3A0.00V

I have read some posts where people claim they have download updates manually but I don't see where I have any for this tablet.

I am really hoping someone from support will read and respond to my concern because this issue appears to have gone on too long for many.

So how about a roadmap to fix this issue please?

    @egydiocoelho: I already tried that storage solution and I stated that in my opening response as "activated storage permissions." Besides, that storage solution only pertains to SD cards and I don't have one. Also, I have no intention of doing a factory reset unless Acer officially identifies the porblem and proposes that as the only solution. Thanks anyway. I need an Acer support person to resond to this issue please.

    No antivirus installed. I have read through every thread involving this "can't do a system update issue" so please do not suggest what has already been obviously tried by many. Thank you anyway. I need support to respond.

    That update error message can also mean it either can't contact the server or the server is no longer active. Are there updates shown on the support site?

    @billsey My connect capabilities are fine and there are just too many complaining about the same issue so there is no connectivity problem on "our" end.

    Now, as far as the server no longer being active, don't you think that Acer might want to inform us all and give us a roadmap to alternatively update our tablets? And, as far as the support site goes, I am not sure I am in the right place. So, would this be it for my B3-A30 tablet?


    If correct, I only see an OS image that is older than the one on my tablet. And, there are no security updates. BTW, do they even show security updates on the support site?

    One other thing, I did get 1 or 2 updates right after purchasing the tablet and if there were none pending I would get a notice like "your system is up to date or no updates available."

    I am really having a difficult time understanding why Acer support remain silent on this issue.

    Well, one reason you aren't hearing from Acer support here is that this is a community board, not Acer support. :) That is the right page on the Acer support site, it does look like they don't publish the security fixes there, just the OS build itself. It looks like the OS release (and model release) is just short of 2 years old, so I wouldn't expect them to be providing any more updates. It's unusual these days for Acer to release OS updates unless they do one quickly after the initial release. I'm betting they no longer have the server running and that is why you get those messages when trying to manually update from the device. :(
