Hello!

I want to upgrade my Acer Predator Helios 300 PH317-52 with RAM memory and SDD.

RAM:
Can I put an 8GB RAM, 3200 frequency? What do you recommend me for this laptop?

SSD:
What type of SSD does this laptop supports?(2.5 inch, M.2, and so on)

I am open for any suggestions.

Thank you!

You can install up to 32GB(2x16GB) DDR4 up to 2666MHz. The device doesn't support memory overclocking, so you can't select XMP profile in order to make the memory work at 3200MHz, so instead it will work at 2133MHz or 2400MHz or 2666MHz depending on the memory. If you want to purchase 2666MHz memory, make sure that 2666MHz is the default frequency and not 2666 with XMP, otherwise it won't work at 2666.

You have single SATA 3 port for 2.5inch drives, which is already occupied by the HDD. If your device comes with HDD only, you have 1 free M.2 port for M.2 NVMe SSDs.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
