Windows key Activation

Hello! I have a genuine Windows 7 key that I received with Acer V5-571 series Laptop some 8 years ago. A year before I formatted my Laptop and installed Windows 7 Ultimate unknown to the fact that I have a Windows 7 genuine key. But after a month the Windows shows corruption and asked to put the required Windows key. I tried to put the windows key available with me but a Window pops up which says 'The Product key you entered appears to be for software pre-installed by the device manufacturer. Please contact the Device Manufacturer for software recovery options'. I tried to get any contact info of Acer but unable to find one. Please provide me with suggestions what can be done to get back my original windows experience.

Do you have the original key?
It can only be used in the OEM version of Windows provided by Acer.
If your HDD was formatted and you lost the recovery partition from Acer, just sending the device to reinstall the original factory system.
