Reviewing a Nitro 5 - 2500U / RX560X - Questions on some driver issues
Evening, I have a Nitro 5 which I'm using for a few feature videos in the coming weeks and having a few questions that I thought the community might be able to help out with.
Radeon Drivers - latest supported on the ACER website is 17.7 - obviously a few generations old now and notably worse (on the desktop at least) when it comes to games. Is there a timescale when ACER is going to release a up to date driver officially?
Obviously it's fairly easy to get the actual latest drivers up and running on it but i'm guessing due to various conflicts and sign offs, the actual radeon suite - i.e wattman / relive / chill etc is not accessible when using the latest drivers from AMD. double click the Radeon settings and it times out after a couple of seconds without loading.. So is there any way to get the Radeon Suite running on the laptop - Chill / Relive etc.. or are we at the mercy of ACER / AMD releasing a specific driver.
Any ideas or help greatly appreciated as obviously lacking these features is a pretty big point.
