Hi, my Swift SF315-41 is about 6 months old.

In the last few weeks the screen has started to flash black every 30 mins or so. And sometimes the screen has artifacts on it. Due to another issue I did a factory reset, but this did not fix the screen issue. I've checked all the drivers are up to date, so I can't think of what else to try. Acer have not been much help. Is there a possible fix, or do I have to send it for repair? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi!!

    @Dannyufcfan

    As a work around. I recommend you to get into BIOS screen (To go into BIOS, tap F2 button on Startup rapidly) and leave the computer for 30 minutes or more and check whether the display goes black or not.

    If it does, please contact Acer Technical Support in your region https://www.acer.com/worldwide/ and look for repair options.

    Hi,

    As a follow up to this, I left it on BIOS screen and saw no black flash. If it helps, I did try it in safe mode for a while and there was no flash.

    The problem still remains when using the laptop normally.

    Is there anything else I could try? I've done a factory reset and even that has not worked. So, maybe it is not a software issue?

    Thanks for any help.

    Download and try DriverBooster freeware to see if it can find a newer driver to resolve the problem. https://www.iobit.com/en/driver-booster.php
    If it doesn't resolve the issue, then try some of the other freeware driver update tools listed in this link https://www.lifewire.com/free-driver-updater-tools-2619206

    Hi, I see that your screen  flash black every 30 mins when you work normally, but I also saw that it is fine in the BIOS screen if left undisturbed.
    So if you feel that it has to do something with the hardware and if you are under warranty, you can contact Acer for further help.
