My Chromebook R11's keyboard keys are not working. I've tried Powerwash many times but still does not work. I am using the touchscreen keyboard right now.

You likely need a new keyboard due to contacts getting gummed up with debris. Usually inexpensive. What is your full model  number? Jack E/NJ

I think it's a CB5-132T with a "T" instead of a "7". Is this correct? If yes, a new KB costs about $40 . https://www.ebay.com/itm/Acer-Chromebook-C738T-CB5-132T-Laptop-Black-Upper-Case-Palmrest-Keyboard-/202122092113 . However, you might want to first try gently dusting under the keys with a blush applicator brush while blowing air to help dislodge any debris that might've accumulated on the switch contacts under the keypads.     Jack E/NJ

    Hi,

I had the same issue since last week and have solved this by reconnecting the keyboard flat cable as explained in the the following movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bl8L4PeAKyU
Now he's already working fine for a full day, so fingers crossed that the problem stays away.
Of course this forces you to open the chromebook, but it only requires limited technical skills.

FYI: CB5-132T-C9ES is the type of my chromebook where the 1-key was broken.

Hope this helps for you as well.

Hi. It seemed like there was dust in the keys so I brushed them off and now it works again. Thanks for the help!
