Helios 300 Laptop - Random Lockups!

I've been having some trouble with my Predator Helios 300 Laptop.

I recently got this laptop around half a month ago, and it's been working like a dream with hardly any issues whatsoever... until now. Ever since this past week or so, I've been having these issues where my laptop would freeze on whatever I was doing and become unresponsive.

Notably when this happens, sometimes the sound of whatever I was playing would either continue or it would stop; it's random. On top of that, I haven't been doing much gaming, either--these issues have been popping up while I'm on my browser, so it's not a heat-related issue, either. But yeah, typing on the keyboard, clicking the mouse, hitting CTRL+ALT+DEL--nothing works... until I close the laptop and open it back up, in which everything responds again.

To clarify on any changes to my OS, I've only updated both the Nvidia drivers and Windows 10 and the updates related to them to their latest versions. I haven't updated the BIOS yet, but I don't think that'll do much.

But anywho, what should I do? Any suggestions?

Personally I'm thinking that it's a softlock, and it might be related to my iGPU and dGPU conflicting with each other. This is the first time I've used a laptop with both GPU's in them, so it would make sense why this problem never appeared in any of my previous ASUS laptops that I've owned. But other than updating the Intel stuff, I'm not really sure what else to do.

Open task manager, and plot CPU usage on it, and check what programs/services are pulling in CPU (enable option that shows processes for all users).
Check for any malware that may have gotten installed on your box, unknown to you.
Check under windows services to check for any new services and under programs for any new programs that may have gotten installed unknown to you.

Check under windows updates to see if any updates were installed in the last week (a few days before from the time you noticed this problem).

If you (or anyone for that matter) frequent sites that may not be safe, i would strongly suggest making a VM and using that for browsing those sites. Or use sandbox environments (many antivirus like Avast provide this as part of their package).
