One of the screws on my spin 1 has come out, what are the specs of the screws so I can get a replacement?

    Hello,
Could you post a picture by indicating the missing screw?

    Hello,
Thanks. The specifications of the screw are: M2*L5.0. The four screws near the hinge are the same. You should also measure the diameter of the head.

I have the same computer and the exact same screw just disappeared within months of owning it. Where can I buy screw from

I usually source those through somewhere like Amazon. I find that local hardware stores don't usually have that small of size. You are likely to end up with 99 extras. :)

Acer doesn't sell a screw kit, you have to purchase the right sized screws yourself. Which screws are you missing?

is the name really m2*l5? Is it the same as this or are those 2 different?
  • I don't know where to get them. But these are all sp111-33 screws:

None of those are the flat head type you should in your post. They all don't have the taper under the head. Which screws are you asking about?

I have the same missing screw.  Apparently this model is prone to these popping out or breaking.  I was also told by a repair shop guy that it might also have a rivet piece at the bottom that holds it in and in which case a new screw won't work.  Can anyone confirm this before I order the replacement one suggested by a billsey?

It depends on what is causing the screws to fall out. If the plastic of the cover that anchors the screw is cracked or stripped then it will need repair before a new screw will stay in place.
