Hello.  Several weeks ago, I noticed that my laptop had some issues charging.  Initially my laptop would still charge if I readjusted the AC adapter, but it got progressively worse and would not charge regardless of how I tried to adjust the adapter.

I used a multimeter to test the output of my AC adapter and I am getting around 19.3V.  However, when I try to check the voltage at the end of the DC power jack connector as well as the pins for the battery, I generally get 0V.  I was really lucky once and after adjusting the plugged in AC adapter, I was able to get a reading at the end of the DC jack connector and at the battery pin.  If I remember correctly, I got a reading of 19V and 2-3V respectively.  During this time the charging light was blinking orange (not sure if this detail is relevant).  I have not been able to reproduce this reading since then.

I suspect that the inside of the head of the AC adapter is not touching the metal pin in the DC power jack when I plug it in.  Is there anything else I can do to determine which part(s) is causing this issue?

Thanks in advance.
