So I was using my laptop normally, out of no where it shut down. After that it won't boot, no beep or error code, charging led is on. Did battery reset, clean and reseat the RAM, replug power cord, disconnected any USB device. When I try to power it on, keyboard's backlit and power led blink once and that's all.

There is no LED for battery, there are 3, power, charging/plugged and storage drives. The second LED which tell the machine receiving electric from wall is lighted.

That button is for battery reset right? I did try hold it down for 40s, but that doesn't help. The second one I haven't, what does it for.

Yes, that's also called the battery charging light. Is it still orange or blue? Jack E/NJ

  • So that the topic is not confusing, first answer the questions of colleague JackE! Just to take away your doubt, the first picture refers to the reset button of the battery and the second picture refers to the power interruption button! Check that the button of the second photo is being pressed properly!

It's blue, I keep it plugged while using at home and so battery is full.

OK, if it's still not turning on then follow egydiocoelho  's suggestion of making sure the button or safety switch below the memory module in the image below is firmly depressed. Jack E/NJ

So I put tape on it to keep it pressed, doesn't help, pretty sure it's to prevent the machine to turn on while it's opened and that should not be the thing here as I haven't open it once before it stop working. Might this be a power flex cable failure? I don't like it if the motherboard died.
  • The fact that the notebook is not generating an image can also indicate a problem with ram, processor or bios if you have tried to update it! do you have how to test with another ram memory?

Yes, this is the safety switch. I'm still not convinced. When you momentarily depress this switch (with battery disconnected), can you feel or hear a click? Try repeatedly depressing it to try to clean its internal contacts. Jack E/NJ
