Hi there,
My daughter has an ASPIRE F5-572G-595M. We were watching a film clip on You tube when the screen froze and the sound also froze making an ear piercing sound. The key board was unresponsive during this time and the only way to turn it off was to hold down the power button. I waited a minute then turned it back on and it seemed to boot up as normal but was a little slower that usual. Then less than a minute later the screen just slowly died like a fading star and is now black. When you attempt to turn it on again you can see that something is trying to happen as the screen has a faint flicker for as long as you hold down the power button but no more than that.
I have tried the hard reset by removing the battery and pushing the power button to drain any residual power out of the components then put the battery back in to start again but she is still a no go.

Has anyone encountered across this problem before? and what solutions do you have please.

Cheers
Phil

as per the issue described it could be issue with hardware. there are likely chances it may not be hardware but could be display issue.

Could you try connecting your device to external screen like a TV or a monitor and check if the display appears. If not we can call it as hardware issue.

for hardware assistance I would recommend you to contact acer support for warranty help
