Hi all,
after I bought a new Acer Aspire 5 (a515-52g-380a) yesterday and installed Windows 10 the HDMI connection to Samsung TV (4003 Class, 24") is not working.
I tried:
 - using different HDMI cables into 2 different slots on the TV;
 - Re-installing the driver;
 - Updating the driver (it is up to date as it is downloaded from Acer site as of 25.03.2019);
 - Installed the driver from NVidia website;
 - Tried finding Windows 7 driver, but it is not available for this model of laptops;
 - Unplugging the power from the TV while the HDMI is connected and re-plugged in 5 minutes;
 - Checked if it can detect another display;
 - changing resolution;
 - The Device Manager does not show any HDMI port, so I could not disable/ enable it;
 - Another laptop (Toshiba Satellite), which works perfectly fine;
 - Fn + F5 or Fn + F6
 - Restarting multiple times
 - Checking for a firmware and software update on Samsung TV - which is up to date.

*** NONE of the above worked, can you please help me out, I am totally stuck with this...

    You can try two things.
    (1) Look for a battery reset pinhole on the bottom. Remove the charger. Gently insert a paper clip into the hole for 10 seconds to disconnect the battery. Let the machine rest for 15 mins. Plug the charger back in and fire it up.

    (2)  If no joy, then you can try a full factory fresh reset using the ALT+F10 cold boot recovery method as shown in the video below. If it still fails to connect after the reset, return the machine to the vendo/seller as defective for an exchange or refund.

    Do these steps ASAP before the vendor's RMA return policy period expires because ACER warranty repair will take longer.

    Hey guys,

    thank you for the comments.

    @JKHill as the listed above troubleshooting steps suggest, I have installed the latest greatest Windows updates.

    Now, the issue is resolved by installing another version of Windows 10 and updating it again with the latest greatest drivers (as before).
    It turned out it is a matter of Windows...
    This thread can now be closed as the issue is resolved.

    Thank you
