Hello, I'm having a bit of a trouble here. I just bought a Crucial MX500 SATA M.2 and I installed it in my A515-563W. The laptop does recognize the SSD and I was able to install Windows and everything seemed flawlessly. However, I noticed that I could not disconnect the charger otherwise the laptop will power off. I ran a battery report under Windows with nothing special found. I also was having issues turning on the laptop. I could not turn on the laptop without the charger. Taking a closer look at the LED indicator I could see the charging LED blinking orange. I thought the battery may have died. I removed the Crucial SSD and for my surprise this fixed all issues with battery. I put back the SSD and the battery issue started again so, it seems this SSD is not compatible with my laptop? I tried this same SSD on another laptop and had no issues at all. Perhaps I'm using the wrong disk? Would I need a SSD NVMe?

    Good afternoon cesardht94 !

As for your doubt about SSD, this model accepts both Sata 3 and NVMe Gen3x2.
Now about the shutdowns, there is a power interrupt button that if not pressed properly causes this problem.
    Check first:

    POWER INTERRUPT BUTTON

Make sure that the power interrupt button is pressed down:

You can either press the right screw a little more or put some layers of electrical tape:

That did the trick. I made the proper changes and it works. It seems I did not close the RAM door properly so the button was not pressed. Thank you to both of you !!!!
