How to remove the hard drive connector connected in the hard drive?Switch 10

I was wondering, I removed this hard drive from Acer Aspire Switch 10 E because the dock isnt working anymore so i found it bothering to use the dock just to access the hard drive. But when I removed it, there seems to be a thing blocking the pins (because i was planning to move it to an external hdd enclosure). Is it safe to just pull off the connector or do i have to unscrew something? I can't seem to pull it off easily and I worry that i might damage the hdd. Thanks

    It simply pulls straight out. But you may find it a bit easier to alternately gently but firmly pull up slightly on one side and push down on the other in sort of a rocking motion to 'walk' it slowly out. There's a lot of pin friction to overcome.  jack E/NJ
