Hey, i just recently received a monitor as a gift: https://zowie.benq.com/en/product/monitor/xl/xl2411p.html

Is it in any way possible for me run my games on the 144hz via HDMI?

Computer specs:

Model: Aspire VX5-591G
Processor: Intel (R) Core(TM) i5-7300HQ CPU @ 2.50 GHz
Ram: 12GB

Intel will only allow me to use 100+hz if i choose a much lower resolution :(
Please help, as i appear to be much too stupid.

It is possible that the monitor doesn't support 144Hz at the native resolution via HDMI. You probably need to connect to the display port.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
