so, this has been happening for quite a while. When using battery power, the laptop shuts down without warning. I notice the battery is partially low when it happens, but no longer do I receive a warning from Windows.

i replaces the battery a while back, and still the issues persists.

any ideas?

Just go to Device manager and uninstall the battery drivers and restart the unit and check

I deleted one of the battery drivers.

Checked Acer and I think I’m up to date driver wise elsewhere...it didn’t show that I should install a battery driver, but then again the driver detect tool was pretty poor.

Once you uninstall the driver just restart the unit , the driver will get updated.
Did you try the second step, the power option ?

I did check the power settings, but it looked normal and fine. BUT - I did notice that I did not see a “Critical battery notification.” I only had a “Low battery notification.”

I checked the options and everything looked to be set though, to warn me, but no notifications ever show.

I do recall the laptop used to warn me, but not anymore. Just powers off while “low,” not even fully drained.

Laptop battery issue still present. Sorry it took so lon to update. Haven’t had the laptop lo enough on power to find out.

confirmed just now that the laptop shuts down without warning, and while having a high % of power still left.
