I had to update the BIOS because it kept freezing and since then I have gone from Win 8.1 to 10 so I need the right touchpad drivers.
I have registered my Acer Aspire V5-552P laptop with Acer (having used the discover utility to find model number, sid etc.)
When I go to the drivers section it gives me 3 DIFFERENT Touchpad drivers Alps, Elan and Synaptics.
So which do I choose?
Why can't I find out what hardware I have installed when I give the serial number?
I mean how many variations are available with one serial number?
That's the point of a serial number isn't it? To give a unique reference?
Obviously NOT! (Seriously not impressed with ACER support for this!)
So how do I know what hardware I have if the Manufacturer can't tell me?
