Acer VN7-592G-71ZL Laptop
Intel Core i7 6th Gen
6700HQ (2.60 GHz) Quad-core Processor - Skylake
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 960M 4 GB GDDR5
1T SSHD
Acer 2560 x 1440 (2K) monitor

This laptop has a Thunderbolt 3 connector which I have not used yet. I've got an Aorus GTX1070 eGPU coming.
Having done loads of research I still have not found a concrete answer to the question that the T3 connector issues back in 2016 have been resolved by ACER.
Hopefully this will be a plug and play setup.
I intend to use the external monitor fir gaming (FC5/ACO etc).

Anyone out there have an experience with this exact setup?
Advice or any other info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have to admit I did get the unit (open box) from Amazon and sent it back as I THOUGHT it was a bad one.
It took me weeks to figure out what was going on.
I ended up with the Akito Node and a GTX1660Ti and that didn't work either until I figured out with the help of the members at https://hardforum.com/
So I probably sent back a good unit due to my lack of knowledge.
I've been running the Akito for a good 100 hours playing ACO and it's been basically flawless. Average FPS 30-50 which ain't specatcular but better than I had...
