I have the above, and am wondering about the viability of upgrading the GPU (GTX970M).
Has anyone done this? I realise that there are a lot of constraints when upgrading laptop GPUs, but I'm starting to notice the age of it.

The GPU can't be upgraded, as it is part of the motherboard.

As far as I remember, I believe your device has a thunderbolt port(check if there is s lightning symbol next to the TypeC port), therefore it supports external GPU enclosures.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Thanks for that. Looks like I now have to research external GPUs...
