Helios 300 screen keeps turning off and on when pressing keyboard

i set up my brand new helios 300 last night and when i went to fill in form fields and type, the screen would randomly go black. For a while it was whenever i pressed the T key then it would do it randomly for any key. Sometimes it will do it when you repress the same key sometimes not. I noticed it did it every few keys initially but it got less over the next 2 hours. Im concerned now i have got a hardware fault.
Should the screen be doing this ? Do i need to bother with trying to research and find solutions to fix it or should i just return it in case it turns into an ongoing issue.

what is the exact model of your notebook? Example an515-51-75kz!

I'm not sure how the warranty works in New Zealand! However, in my opinion, you should try to exchange with the store for another identical or similar product, since this problem is a problem on the keyboard or notebook hardware!
