Your device has a single M.2 port that supports M.2 NVMe SSDs and a single SATA port for 2.5inch drives. There is no storage size limit.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

I am not sure if the M.2 port has x2 or x4 lanes. You can download HWiNFO and then from the left side expand the Bus section and look for a free PCI Express Root Port. On the right side where the details of the port a shown you will find whether it is x2 or x4.

I am not sure which x2 NVMe SSD is the best, but the best x4 NVMe SSD is samsung 970 pro.
