My acer-swift-3 laptop does not start or start too slowly after several minutes in sleep mode

Hi, I ran some simple programs (word, chrome) when I was working and then I closed the lid for some minutes, my laptop would be in sleep mode. However, when I opened the lid, the screen did not display immediately and nothing happened after a few minutes in waiting. I tried pressing the sleep-mode button but it did not work, so I had to press and hold the power button to restart my laptop. What is wrong with my laptop? please help me
