I have this Acer motherboard: HT2000
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 4200+
3GB DDR2 667

The problem I have is that when I try to boot from my USB Windows installer, the output is:
DISK BOOT FAILURE INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER.

Then I enabled LAN Boot which seems to not have this message but shows this one instead:
PXE-E61 MEDIA TEST FAILURE CHECK CABLE
and it stays in a loop until I unplug the drive or turn off the system.

I tried changing the boot order and clearing CMOS, but they both didn't work.

    Good afternoon TaPaK !

What operating system are you trying to install?
Is Bios configured properly with SecureBoot disabled?
Created the installation pendrive following the mode definition (if it is set to Uefi it should be GPT and if it is in Legacy it should be MBR)?
Did you test the pendrive on other devices?
Are you using a USB 2.0 port?

I'm trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit
I don't know what SecureBoot is and I can't seem to find this setting anywhere
The drive is in GPT in Disk manager
I tried a Windows XP 32 bit MBR drive with no success
The ports are all 2.0 but one of my drives is 3.0, but I don't think it changes anything

What is the exact model of desktop? Example an515-51-75kz! To disable the secureboot, you must enter the bios by pressing f2 or delete and then create a password in setsupervisorpassword1

IIRC you need to have at least sp1 on Windows 7 to use the GPT/UEFI install. If yours is just the original W7 you will need to redo the disk as MBR in order to install.
