Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52-59FT SSD update

Hi

I have the above laptop. It came with a standard 2.5 1TB HDD but I would like to add a 1TB SSD. It is my understanding that this is supported but I have the following queries:-

- do I go for SATA or NVME? I have done some research on various forums including Acer's and it's not clear which one would be better for me. I wanted to go for the following SSD https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07J2Q4SWZ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1 but on perusal of the crucial website I was advised this would not be compatible. However, UserBenchmark shows that I can get an NVME.

- The laptop has 1x Link width so it appears the above would work but I have seen on the forums that people have managed it. Can you please advise that my choice from Crucial would be suitable and if not why not? I would like to move my OS and some games onto the HDD so speed is crucial for me. I am grateful for any help

You can install either a M.2 SATA SSD or a NVMe SSD, both are compatible, as for the warranty, please contact Acer Support center in your region to make sure that the installation doesn't void the warranty.
