I did an update a couple weeks ago and now my brightness button is not working. I got someone to help me and they updated the driver I do believe but the brightness on my laptop is still not changing. Has anyone else had this problem?

    Try this
Open Control Panel .Search screen brightness. On the left panel click adjust screen brightness. On the bottom use the slider to increase or decrease brightness.

Try to roll back the display driver

To rollback the driver, you may follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows + R on the desktop screen.
    • Type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
    • Expand the category you want and right click on the driver and select properties.
    • Navigate to driver tab and click on RollBack driver.

Go to Control Panel/Ease of Access Centre/High Contrast and untick High Contrast. Brightness controls started working again.
